With the closure of Champlain Bridge this weekend (September 16,17 and 18) what is the anticipated delay time accessing Jacques Cartier Bridge from Autoroute 10 in bound to Montreal on Saturday afternoon around 16:00 hours and Sunday morning around 9:00 hours.
Thank you.

@ Ross
You should take the Jacques-Cartier Bridge and then route 132 West to reach Highway 10. The best for you is to avoid to use the Champlain Bridge because of the major work there this weekend. Thank you.

Someone asked this question before but it was not answered:
Can I cross the bridge on a 50CC Scooter?

Hello,
I’ll be visiting Montreal from NYC in a few weeks. I was just wondering if there is a toll on this bridge.
Thank you!

Who owns the bridges surrounding Montreal – particularly the Jacques Cartier, Pont papineau, Pont Mercier, – and the tunnels?

@ Deedee
There’s no closure planned on the Jacques Cartier Bridge this weekend, but there is a major closure that will occured this weekend on the Champlain Bridge. The Jacques-Cartier Bridge is a better option to take. Thank you.

@ Penny
The work on Viaduct B involved tearing down and rebuilding the heads of the two viaduct supporting structures and repaving the ramp. This was quite a complex process, which is why the work took several months. Also, we did not want to close the viaduct completely during the work, which also added to the length of the project. As you have no doubt noticed, the work has now been completed and the lanes are open again. Thank you.

Just a short question. The enterence to the Jacques Cartier bridge via Ste Helen has been closed since July and the sign states will not reopen until November. Exactly what work is being done as I live just near this enterence and no work has been done nor are there any workers there since July…..Usually roads, lanes and enterences to bridges are closed when work is being done but in this case there has not been any work done whatsoever since the month of July (3 months has already passed)…..thanks

Can I cross the bridge on a 50CC Scooter?

@ Nick Tosques
The path on the west side of the bridge is not just a bike path, we open it for the pedestrian too, because it’s large enough and that’s where we have our two belvederes, which offer the best overview of Montreal. On the other side, we keep it for pedestrians, because it’s not large enough and it can be dangerous. For the barriers, we install it after evaluate at which distance it will make a signifiant impact to reduce the speed when travelling the Bridge. We want to make sure the transit by bike respect a certain speed. But I’m not sure to understand exactly what you mean. Thank you.

hello, i would like to know why if a cyclist is on the east side side walk he will get ticketed but if pedestrians walk on the west side bike path they don’t get ticketed. also the barriers that have been installed to slow down the most efficient wheeled vehicules on the planet are not the same distance apart on the mtl side and the long. side. that makes it very dangerous when navigating through one side then the other is a smaller distance. the perfect set up for a crash.
thank you
